The Gift Planning Coordinator in the Office of Gift Planning serves a vital role in accomplishing goals of the team. The Gift Planning team is the central unit for gift planning fundraising for the entire campus. Working with donors whose average outright gift is $75,000, whose average life income gift is more than $100,000 and whose estate gift average is more that $1 Million, each year approximately $48 Million is raised through the office. This Gift Planning Coordinator position provides high level support to the gift planning front line fundraisers. These fundraisers work on the campus's most complicated gifts including charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, bequests and gifts of partnership interests, privately held securities and real estate. The Gift Planning Coordinator must be comfortable working with technical language and on matters that are often time sensitive and where accuracy is paramount.
Supports several front-line fundraisers by drafting/editing/proofreading fundraiser correspondence for prospects/donors and donor advisors. Reviews, edits and proofreads fund terms and pledge documents and circulates them for signature. Enters contact reports and assists with other tracking and reporting. Organizes complex donor files. Coordinates prospect/donor meetings.
Assists in office administration including data management. Maintains correspondence and complex gift template document bank. May direct work-study student(s) in the student's administrative tasks (mail, data entry). Processes gift planning purchases and team member reimbursements..
On a daily basis, directly interacts with donors, donor advisors and others via telephone, email and mail. Coordinates follow-up and implements appropriate tracking of inquiries.
Completes special projects as assigned which may include conducting basic research and/or analyzing information gathered. Researches and prepares bequest language for fundraiser review as needed.
