Hamilton College’s Sociology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2015. The Department seeks candidates whose research and teaching interests feature the use of quantitative methods. While the area of specialization is open, the Department is particularly interested in candidates who are qualified to teach courses in Social Class, Economic Inequality, and/or Social Stratification. Candidates must possess demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship. The teaching load at Hamilton is five courses per year.
