The Department of Communication is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to teach in Communication, with an emphasis in Advertising, beginning August, 2017.
The successful candidate will teach a broad range of undergraduate communication courses both on ground and online, teach specialized classes in the area of advertising, demonstrate effective teaching, and have an active research agenda in an area of expertise in the field. The successful candidate will also demonstrate vision for the advertising concentration and have worked across a variety of media platforms. Candidates must be able to assist in curriculum design and assessment, advise students, and assist with departmental recruitment endeavors. A Ph.D. is required; previous university teaching record and industry experience is preferred. Review of applicants will be considered beginning April 17, 2017.
RMU offers faculty members an environment where teaching, research and service are supported and valued. Salaries are market competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated start date is Fall, 2017 and dependent upon final budgetary approval.
