REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work or related discipline and ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), teaching experience at the college/community college level, agency-based work experience in a social work or human services setting; leadership role in agency-based work in a social work or human services setting; expertise in gerontology; demonstrable use of materials and assignments designed to improve the writing and critical thinking skills of students and to incorporate multi-cultural perspectives; ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to promote and evaluate student learning; willingness to explore alternative pedagogies such as service-learning, learning communities, and distance learning; strong interpersonal skills.
POSITION STATUS: Full-time, tenure track, MCCC/MTA unit position with benefits. This position is subject to the 2018 budget appropriation.
SALARY: Minimum salary $45,996 to $92,555.00 - actual salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
STARTING DATE: Fall 2017 Semester
