The Accounting Area in the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly is creating a pool of eligible part-time lecturers for possible teaching assignments in taxation during the Summer, Fall, Winter, and/or Spring Quarters of the 2017-2018 academic year. The College of Business offers a master's in accountancy with a tax specialization and undergraduate classes in taxation. The area is seeking qualified applicants that can teach taxation at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the following subject areas: multistate taxation, international, individual, corporate, partnership, estate and gift and/or reorganizations.
Assignments are contingent upon class availability, scheduling, budget and enrollments.
Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only):
Masters degree in taxation or accounting, related discipline, or professional certification required. Must demonstrate a strong teaching record and currency in professional field. Professional and/or teaching experience required.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
