The Management Department within the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at Western Washington University (WWU) invites candidates to apply for a full-time, tenure-track position in Management / Business & Sustainability (open rank) beginning in September 2019 at WWU's extension site located in Poulsbo, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Teach a variety of undergraduate courses in management and/or business sustainability
• Conduct and publish impactful research in peer-reviewed journals on topics relevant to management and/or business sustainability
• Work collaboratively on scholarly and curricular projects with other faculty within the Department, CBE, and WWU on the Peninsulas
• Perform a proportionate share of department, college, university, programmatic and professional service (note that service expectations are modest for untenured tenure-track faculty)

• PhD or ABD or equivalent in management or business sustainability or related field; ABD candidates must have degree completed by June 2020
• Demonstrated passion for and ability to effectively teach, advise, and mentor diverse undergraduate business students
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to teach a variety of undergraduate management and/or business sustainability courses
• Demonstrated competence in and commitment to cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds
• Demonstrated potential for and/or record of conducting and publishing impactful research on topics relevant to management and/or business sustainability (scholarship record is commensurate with years since completion of the terminal degree)
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse colleagues

• Ability and willingness to occasionally create and teach new management and/or business sustainability courses
• Post-PhD undergraduate teaching experience and/or experience developing and teaching (as the primary instructor) undergraduate management and/or business sustainability courses
• Relevant non-academic professional experience, particularly experience related to management and/or business sustainability
• A research program that presents opportunities for collaboration with other faculty in the Management Department, College of Business and Economics, Huxley College of the Environment and/or elsewhere within WWU
