ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL DUTIES
Set program goals, objectives, and recommend new programmatic initiatives in Computer & Technology Programs. Developing and implementing revenue/contract/open enrollment goals and objectives.Collaborates with other college units to share training materials and subject matter expertise. Forming, convening, and leading Advisory Boards of industry advocates to define a structure for new programs; leading project teams to create new courses and/or leverage existing courses from external sources; refining programs as necessary Assessing and determining community needs that are relevant for program's non-credit classes; develop strategies to create and expand current and future classes and programs Providing leadership for daily operations of non-credit programs Recruits, interviews, hires, supervises, evaluates, and develops adjunct faculty to ensure effective delivery of non-credit courses Oversees the development and creation of the quarterly schedule Manages course cancelation rates to an acceptable CE and department level by analyzing historical data Student Advising: Supports student advising processes and trains PM staff to advise students on existing and new programs Set Marketing strategy: Works with the Director(s) and other CE staff in developing plans and implementing strategies regarding the marketing of classes and certificates Assists the Director(s) in maintaining fiscal integrity of the department budget; manages program budget revenues and costs and ensures that anomalies in financial reports are resolved on a timely basis. Performs market analysis, understands and tracks ROI for certificates and program areas Assist in responding to RFP's, training proposals, and contracts Participate in defining and implementing customized corporate solutions, strategic plans and performance measures. Perform learning/educational needs assessments for corporate clients. Develop the training/organizational development solution for corporate clients. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma and four years or more working experience in an academic or continuing education division, experience in program development serving students in higher education setting; Or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Arts, Sciences, Education, or a related field or fours years of work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in product planning, business planning, corporate training or education Experience with education and training programs in higher education Ability to work independently including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. Effective teamwork, collaborative and leadership skills Actively contributes to a work environment that embraces diversity and diverse perspectives to enhance the attainment of organizational goals Ability to analyze and solve problems skills An attention to quality of work standards
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, education, or a related field Two years of experience as program or product management or in placement or career services Experience in planning, launching or managing Healthcare, Technology or Business training programs Two years of experience working in a corporate or business setting Prior experience working in a small business or entrepreneurship role Experience in developing and implementing operational plans and managing budgets Experience developing and administering self-support adult training/education programs Experience in evaluating, designing, and implementing curriculum and/or teaching methodologies Experience with a role of increasing responsibility in managing a line of business or organization Experience using budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures
