Job Description:

SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach (part-time) to join the Athletics Department. SUNY Delhi prides itself on being a welcoming college community for all. Under the direction of the Head Women's Volleyball Coach, the assistant coach will have responsibilities within all aspects of program management including, but not limited to: practice and game preparation, recruiting, scheduling team travel and meals, coordination of film review sessions, planning team activities, scouting reports on opponents, driving 12-15 passenger van for away games, game day and practice facility set-up, academic monitoring, and fundraising and/or community service coordination.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience coaching volleyball at a competitive level (collegiate, club, or high school varsity).
  • Strong background in volleyball skill analysis and ability to demonstrate techniques.
  • Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.
  • Experience in motivating players to achieve maximum levels of performance.
  • Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues, and the public.
  • Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Must be reliable, dependable, and passionate about volleyball, and value attention to detail.
  • Commitment to the philosophy of intercollegiate athletics at SUNY Delhi.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Current CPR / First Aid certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience with NCAA Division III rules and compliance.
