Location: Indianapolis Department: IUPUI Public & Environmental Affairs Position Announcement: The Paul H. O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs (The O'Neill School) at IUPUI seeks to fill up to two tenure track faculty positions at the assistant or associate rank beginning in August 2020. The O'Neill School and Indiana University are committed to diversity. Basic Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in an appropriate field (e.g., criminal justice, criminology, sociology, economics, political science, public administration, policy analysis). We seek candidates across a variety of research areas who can complement our existing strengths and priorities within our multidisciplinary criminal justice program. All applicants must present evidence of, or promise for, high-quality research and an ambitious research program commensurate with career stage. Candidates will be expected to publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals and successfully pursue extramural research funding, where appropriate. In addition to maintaining an active program of research, candidates will be expected to teach courses that contribute to the core missions of our criminal justice undergraduate and graduate programs. The standard teaching load within the school is four courses per year (2/2 teaching load) and we especially value candidates that are open to employing a variety of high impact practices, and alternative modes of course delivery.
