Job Summary: The Marketing and Communications Project Manager is responsible for leading various web, print, and electronic projects while also coordinating efforts with numerous internal and external groups with a variety of skills. This position will be responsible for managing the relationships and deadlines for multiple external resources on each project. The incumbent in this role while using Cornell Project Management Methodology will manage projects by planning resource allocation, hiring vendors, tracking deliverables, communicating with partners and obtaining approval. Additional duties of this role consists of developing and continuously updating project processes and plans to improve results and communication methods. The Marketing and Communications Project Manager will Communicate project scope, goals and responsibilities to staff, communicate with stakeholders to establish clear expectations and specific requirements, communicate goals and outcomes based on established priorities, as well as assessing and resolving complex issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop reporting and workflow monitoring procedures to enable timely communication with staff and clients. It is imperative that the person in the role have the ability to recognize inefficiencies, develop processes to improve productivity and increase staff efficiency. The Marketing and Communications Project Manager will work closely with staff to organize and implement workflow. This role will report directly to the Creative Director but work collaboratively with a diverse team. This includes: alumni affairs, web and analytics, communication, email marketing, programmatic campaign support, social media as well as executive marketing program managers.
