The Department of Media and Communications at Drew University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor with a specialization in the critical study of Digital Media, starting September 1, 2020. This is a one-year, non-tenure track appointment that is renewable for an additional two years, depending upon department need and satisfactory performance. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in digital production/methods, candidates who focus on race and digital culture, and/or candidates capable of teaching documentary production, broadly construed. Responsibilities: The position will involve teaching three undergraduate courses each semester. This individual will teach a broad range of courses in media, culture, and technology, including but not limited to an introductory class in media studies, a research methods class, and digital production classes. The position will have limited service obligations, but the successful candidate will be expected to be an active teacher engaged in the intellectual and cultural life of the department.

Qualifications: The position is open to recent PhDs and doctoral candidates who will have completed a degree by August 2020. Teaching experience is required. Application:
