Germanna Community College is seeking an innovative and collaborative individual to join the faculty as an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will teach a variety of cybersecurity classes. The successful candidate will teach both day and evening courses at any college location teaching a minimum of 30 credits per year (fall/spring) five courses each semester. Current Industry Certifications such as: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CISSP, CEH are preferred. The College desires applicants with a commitment to the community college mission; teaching, learning, and student success; integration of learning outcomes assessment into course development and teaching; use of current and emerging technologies to enhance instruction; and integration of global perspectives in instruction. Finalists will be invited to present a short sample lesson. This is a full-time nine-month faculty position. Salary is commensurate with rank and credentials plus State benefits. •Masters in Cybersecurity or Information Technology, (or related discipline) from an accredited institution and college-level teaching experience •At least two years of work experience in Cybersecurity Ability to demonstrate the use of relevant technology and learning management systems to effectively facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication. Commitment to student engagement in the online teaching environment including maintaining consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms to ensure student success. Technology capability (access to WIFI, computers) to teach remotely. Experience using technology to teach. All teaching positions of Germanna Community College require the ability to teach in a variety of modalities including virtually.
