Instruct classes in the Bachelors of Applied Sciences in Human Services department utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
Provide appropriate means to assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve educational goals.
Participate in relevant department assessment activities.
Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a Social Services or Behavioral Sciences field.
3 years clinical experience in a social services setting.
Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and economically diverse backgrounds.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a Social Services or Behavioral Sciences field.
Knowledge of the addictions counseling field.
Experience using a variety of teaching and assessment techniques - including the use of technology - that enhance student success.
Interest in pursuing professional development opportunities as available.
Knowledge and/or experience with curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse student populations.
Experience teaching in a Human Services program.
