![]() University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF05787 Salary: Position Description: Assistant or Associate Professor in the UCLA Department of Psychology The UCLA Department of Psychology seeks to hire a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor with a specialty in clinical depression. We are interested in applicants pursuing innovative research with human participants to advance the understanding of affective, cognitive, environmental, social, cultural, or biobehavioral processes contributing to the etiology, maintenance, prevention, and/or treatment of depression. Research programs may include experimental psychopathology, developmental psychopathology, affective neuroscience focused on depressive disorders, depression in underserved and underrepresented groups, mechanisms through which social determinants affect risk for depression, and innovative approaches to prevent and treat depression, among others. Ample opportunities exist for collaborative research within the Department and across UCLA. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field no later than one year after hire and should demonstrate a strong track record of productive and impactful research. In addition to an outstanding record of research and potential for extramural research support, the successful candidate will demonstrate a history of, or the potential for, contributing to the teaching, mentoring, and service missions of the Department and University.
