Context and Philosophy
Friends School of Baltimore has an opening for an Upper School Spanish Teacher to begin in August 2020 through November 2020. The position would be to teach two sections of Spanish V and two sections of Spanish III. The School would be willing to split the position among two candidates if a part time role is more desirable. Additionally, candidates who have experience using technology in their teaching, collaborating with colleagues, teaching in a block schedule, and using a diversity of assessment techniques are especially suited for this role.
·Collaborate with teachers in his/her Department, within the division, and cross-divisionally.
·Provide parents and administrators with written and oral reports that explain in detail how a child is progressing in the various areas of his/her educational experience.
·Complete timely, detailed, and prescriptive progress reports, grades, and comments at regular intervals during the year for each student he/she teaches.
·Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree and experience preferred
·Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to understand and incorporate Quaker Principles and Quaker education into their work.
