The position will be primarily responsible for the teaching and management of a high impact course model for sections of GOVT 2305 Federal Government. The position may be transitioned to 15 hours of undergraduate courses per semester in GOVT 2306 or 2305 based on the instructional needs of the department. The position is based on the Stephenville campus and requires a Masters Degree in Political Science and redesign, hybrid and/or online teaching experience. Responsibilities 100% Teaching: Teach up to 5 courses per semester, implement and review effective teaching/learning processes, incorporating appropriate methodology, technology and other tools; Remain current in discipline and update course content when appropriate to reflect current levels of student knowledge in the discipline; Develop a system for ongoing evaluation of both teaching and learning, including expectations of student competency and student learning outcomes; Work in partnership with immediate supervisor through a formal system of evaluation of instruction to identify strengths and weaknesses and identify professional development activities to improve student learning. Required Education and Experience: Masterâ™s Degree (or higher) in Political Science. Prior experience (1-3 years) teaching Federal Government at the undergraduate level. Experience with HIP, course redesign, or hybrid/hy-flex/online modalities.
