NYU Shanghai invites applications for Recitation Instructors for a number of NYU Courses that will be taught in person or remotely in Shanghai during Spring 2021.
Recitation Instructors will teach up to four sections of one class. They will assist the Professor with grading, running weekly sections, and course management. They will also hold weekly office hours. The specific courses taught include:
Cultures and Contexts: Concept of China
Expressive Cultures: K-Pop
Energy and the Environment
Intro to Psychology
Intro to International Politics
Time and Truth in Western Thought
Intro to Sociology
Intro to Macroeconomics
Money and Banking
Preferably, the recitations will be taught on-site in Shanghai. However, it is possible that sections will be held remotely, as necessitated by visa requirements.
A Master's Degree (and preferably a PhD) in the field is required. Prior teaching, or teaching assistant, experience is preferred.
