Summary Description: The Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Administration is a full-time, benefit eligible position reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Warner Pacific University’s Department of Business is seeking an innovative faculty member to grow its business administration bachelor’s degree programs and its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for both traditional and adult populations. This faculty member will be the primary internal and external contact for both programs which are aligned in progression, as well as for the university’s popular 4+1 MBA program where students earn two business degrees at WPU within 5 years. The faculty member will also teach face-to-face (F2F) and online in both the Business Administration and MBA programs in the university’s traditional and Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) programs, which operate mostly in the evenings for non-traditional students. Because this faculty member will be the lead for the university’s MBA program it will be important that they hold an MBA themselves and are familiar with the rigor of an MBA program. The position is split between 1/3 administrative functions (focused on building these programs and developing partnerships) and 2/3 teaching and advising students in these programs. The position will be housed in the Business Department and will report to the Dean of Business to further develop these programs through innovation, cutting edge improvements, and re-engineering efforts. Essential Functions: - Teach face to face, hybrid and online courses in the Business Administration and MBA Program each semester on the Traditional Campus and/or in the PGS Program.
- Develop and revise curriculum for the BA, BBA, MBA and other related programs.
- Serve in the administrative role as the academic program lead for the undergraduate Business Administration program on the traditional and PGS programs as the key contact for students and others seeking information on this program.
- Serve in the administrative role as the academic program lead for the MBA programs both internally and externally.
- Serve as an Academic Advisor to students in the traditional undergraduate Business Administration Program as needed.
- Serve as a conduit between faculty, staff and students in the traditional and PGS programs for Business Administration and the MBA configurations.
- Collaborate with enrollment and marketing teams to ensure these business programs are accurately represented, and to inform marketing and enrollment strategies.
- Liaise with adjunct faculty to identify development and partnership opportunities.
- Represent the Business Department in internal leadership capacities as needed.
- Contribute to the support and implementation of the University Strategic Plan.
- Participate in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to University policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: - Professional Doctorate Degree in a business discipline – i.e. Doctor of Business Administration (or a related doctoral business degree: Doctor of Management, PhD in Leadership Studies, PhD in Executive Leadership, or Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership, etc.). ABD candidates will be considered.
- Master in Business Administration (MBA).
- Minimum of Two Years Higher Education experience teaching Business Courses at the Undergraduate and/or Graduate Levels at a Two or Four-Year Institution.
- Experience working with diverse populations and passion for providing inclusive and equitable education leading to a more diverse workforce.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams
- Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Business program recruitment, curriculum development, and outreach.
- Experience using technology tools and Learning Management Systems related to curriculum development and delivery, including expertise with MSOffice
- Bilingual/Proficiency in Spanish preferred
