Metropolitan State University, Minnesota’s public, urban university, is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor of Marketing.This is a full-time position within the Department of Marketing/Supply Chain/International Business and is expected to start August 16, 2021.

Metropolitan State University has responded to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic by offering nearly all of its courses in a fully online format for the 2020-2021 academic year, limiting any in-person instruction to courses for which in-person learning is essential for students to achieve the learning outcomes. In addition, the majority of employees are working remotely, taking advantage of technological tools to engage students and complete their work. The search for this position will be conducted using web conferencing technology.

Faculty members are expected to:
Demonstrate ability to teach marketing courses effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate level
Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement

PhD in marketing or closely related academic field from an AACSB, ACBSP, or equivalent accredited school.
Experience teaching a variety of marketing courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Demonstrated ability to work in an institution with a culturally, economically and linguistically diverse workforce.
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills with a variety of persons and groups.
Demonstrated expertise in teaching digital marketing or related work experience in digital marketing and analytics.
Professional work experience in a closely related field.
Evidence of outstanding service to the academic community.
Experience teaching adult students.
Experience advising undergraduate or graduate students.
Experience advising traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds.
Willingness to teach daytime and/or evening courses in multiple locations throughout the Twin Cities area.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn online and web-supported course delivery.
Evidence of scholarly work.
