The Critical Gender Studies Program at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body, and invites applications whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment.
Candidates are required to hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in a variety of fields including, but not limited to: Women's Studies, Feminist Studies, LGBTQ Studies, Gender Studies, Queer Studies, Ethnic Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, English, and Arts & Humanities.
Preferred candidates will have have outstanding teaching qualifications, experience managing diverse classrooms and demonstrated strong leadership or a commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting. Candidates with teaching experience in related areas ranging from race, gender, and sexuality, gender politics, African diaspora studies, ethnic studies, arts and visual culture, and social movements are especially encouraged to apply.
Appointments will most likely be part-time, though possibly full-time, from one quarter up to one year in duration, and with the possibility of extension.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on published UC pay scales.
