Application Review Date The First Review Date for this job is: February 9, 2021 Departmental Overview The intellectual heart of UC Berkeley, the College of Letters & Science (L&S) is the largest of the university's 14 colleges and schools and the most prestigious teaching and research unit in the UC system. L&S encompasses more than half of the campus's faculty, three-quarters of its undergraduate students, and half of its Ph.D. candidates. The Advising Assistant position provides assistance to deans, managers, staff, and students in the L&S Office of Undergraduate Advising, a large unit charged with delivering services to students, other campus offices, and the general public. This position involves a wide range of student services duties and responsibilities, including student contact via email messaging system, computing support, data management, appointment scheduling, and other related administrative duties. Salary & Benefits This is an hourly paid (non-exempt) position. Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience (stepped rates). Other Information This position is governed by the terms and conditions in the agreement for the Clerical & Allied Services Unit (CX) between the University of California and Teamsters Local 2010.
