St. Andrew's Episcopal School is seeking a visionary and dynamic Boys Basketball Program Director for the 2021-2022 school year. The full-time position offers a tremendous opportunity to build on a program that has strong participation numbers at a leading independent school in one of our nation’s fastest growing cities. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of our Athletic Director and will work closely with the entire Athletics’ team and the Head of Upper School to deliver a high quality basketball experience for players and coaches. In addition to serving as the Head Varsity Coach, the successful candidate will also be the Boys Basketball Program Director. They will provide leadership, supervision, and organization for the entire Boys Basketball program, including the Junior Varsity and 5th-8th grade levels. The most competitive candidates will be able to contribute significantly to other aspects of school life, as a classroom teacher, administrator, or staff member. We anticipate teaching openings in History, English, Math, and Physical Education, but candidates with other teaching or administrative backgrounds should also apply. We will give preference to candidates with previous Head Coaching experience or significant leadership experience at a quality program. The next Boys Basketball Program Director must exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, leadership, and sportsmanship. Above all, the Boys Basketball Program Director should love working with adolescent athletes, recognize the power and importance of mentorship, lead by example, and support young men in the development of their character and values.
