Director, OLLI - Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (Administrator II)/Academic Affairs California State University, San Bernardino
Employment Status: Full-time, At-Will, 'Exempt' position, included in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP).
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required.
Anticipated Salary: $6,200 - $7,000 per month.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus is a program designed for adults 50 and older who want to experience learning for the fun of it. OLLI offers non-credit, university-level courses, but without the grades, tests or homework. Membership is open to adults who enjoy learning, regardless of their educational background. Courses are taught by current or retired university professors or accomplished professionals with significant expertise in their field. OLLI membership is also a great way to build a strong social network of interesting friends.

Job Summary The Director of OLLI at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus will work with staff and volunteers, in collaboration with the OLLI leadership board, on programing, operations and management, to effectively and efficiently plan and execute OLLI's non-credit courses, travel- based education and learning, cultural and societal events, and special OLLI initiatives. The director will also prepare all OLLI-related reports and budgets, and serve as the point of contact with the Bernard Osher Foundation. The director will oversee the following:
Staff, instructor and volunteer supervision
Fiscal and financial management
Membership and marketing
Member and community relations
Campus partnership and services
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 3 years' experience managing a membership or a related organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience with developing innovative and successful adult education courses.
Working knowledge of the development and maintenance of annual budgets and department purchasing.
Working knowledge of various technologies related to process enhancement.
Ability to identify revenue sources and the successful implementation of fundraising campaigns.
Ability to effectively manage staff, work with various campus departments.
Ability to communicate procedures and policies to staff, instructors and volunteers.
Ability to work with diverse internal and external partners.
Ability to develop, update and maintain captivating web site content, social media platforms, and email marketing.
Passionate about and experience in building and growing life-long learning programs and opportunities.
Demonstrated success in community engagement.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Other duties as assigned.
