Job Overview The Director of Foundation Relations serves as an advancement leader and integral member of the Development Leadership Team. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Development and managing a team of three, the Director has a primary goal of increasing support from local, regional, and national private foundations. Working closely with university and academic leadership in collaboration with the Research Development team in the Office of Research, the Director and Foundation Relations team seek to identify new funding opportunities from private grant makers through the expansion of existing relationships and by building new ones. The team surveys the private foundation landscape in search of funders whose goals align with UCSC's priorities and helps to catalyst those funding opportunities. The Director will project the confidence and possess the needed set of experiences to be a campus thought-partner on private foundation philanthropy and bring together campus partners around initiatives to help yield effective ideas and proposals. Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule Salary Information: Minimum Starting Salary: $130,000/annually. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
