Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School invites applications for a part-time position as a teacher in the History Department for the 2021 - 2022 academic year. Located in Washington, DC, and founded in 1799, Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School educates young women in grades 9 – 12 in a faith-centered community focused on educational excellence and rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition.
Successful candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree along with a strong academic background in U.S. and global / world history and previous teaching experience in the subject at the secondary level, along with energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to communicate and work with young women. Advanced Placement (AP) experience is valued, but not required. Candidates must also be willing to work closely with departmental colleagues in a collaborative setting and to attend school-wide events and regular departmental and faculty meetings.
This position teaches 2 class sections and is not benefits eligible.
