Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment to the School’s mission and core values.
Work collaboratively with lead Teacher and other specialists to plan and implement lessons, assignments, projects & activities.
Must be able to teach in person, on campus and at home through Zoom.
Demonstrate integrity, patience, kindness, flexibility, sensitivity, and enthusiasm every day.
Communicate thoughtfully and professionally with parents and colleagues regarding students needs, and development issues.
Create a pleasant, inviting classroom atmosphere in which children feel comfortable and secure, along with an atmosphere of support and safety to encourage children to experience new skills.
Provide experiences that promote individual self-expression in conversation, imaginative play and creativity.

The ideal candidate will have:
BA or BS Degree (Degree in Elementary Education, Special Education or related field preferred)
Minimum 2 year experience in teaching
Familiarity with Seesaw and Dreambox, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Google Drive, and technology in the classroom
Experience teaching young children Reading and Writing Workshop is preferred
Able to seek out assistance when needed and creatively problem solve independently and as a member of a grade level team
Able to build appropriate relationships and monitor student engagement, safety, and fun
Patience, flexibility, good organization skills, and a sense of humor
COVID-19 considerations: Masks are required at all times on campus, including outside, unless you are eating. . School will issue two filtered cloth masks (as well as a face shield for teachers and others who deal with a lot of people)to each employee.
