Program Specialist, Business Diversity & Economic Opportunity
As a program specialist for the office of Business Diversity & Economic Opportunity (BDEO), you will be an integral member of a team responsible for establishing and expanding the reach of strategic initiatives that increase diverse supplier utilization throughout the University of Southern California enterprise, substantially impacting economic inclusion in the region.
What you will do in this role:
You will be responsible for the daily operations of all functions assigned by the associate vice president of business diversity and economic opportunity within university relations;
Assist in the creation and execution of the BDEO strategic plan;
Assist in the creation and execution of the infrastructure plan for the BDEO office;
Initiate, build and steward internal and external strategic constituent relationships on behalf of BDEO.
Serve as an expert point of contact on behalf of BDEO;
Facilitate the standardization of processes, requests for information, and collection of essential data needed for BDEO initiatives.
Assist in the assessment and management of category spend, diverse supplier identification, sourcing, and other metrics associated with utilization data reporting;
Actively participate in progress meetings and reporting regarding goals and other items associated with timely communications with stakeholders;
Coordinate, advise and drive efforts to enable diverse supplier improvement initiatives to succeed, in collaboration with internal and external constituents;
Coordinate, develop and manage BDEO marketing strategies, events and programs;
Develop marketing and dashboard collateral, to include website, social media and brochures in coordination with USC communications teams.
Represent BDEO externally and identify strategic collaborative opportunities with external partners.
Bachelorâs degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, Data Science
