St. Martin’s Episcopal School is currently seeking an Upper School Social Studies Teacher who is engaging, intellectually curious, and passionate about student learning that is innovative, collaborative, authentic, inclusive, and relevant. St. Martin’s Four-Dimensional (4-D) academic framework is one where traditional and modern knowledge areas intersect with one another as well as with 21c skills, character development, and meta-learning strategies.
This position is for the remainder of 2020-2021 academic school year.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in history, but an advanced degree is preferred. Louisiana certification in Secondary Social Studies or provisional certificate preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching World or Global History in Upper School, preferably in private independent school. BA with concentration in World or Global History, Master's Degree preferred. Candidates must present a portfolio of original curriculum units which they have taught.
