Visual Arts Instructor

Sierra Canyon is seeking a full-time Studio Arts Teacher for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Candidates should have 3 - 6 years of art teaching experience (mixed media, drawing/painting, and 3-D art) at the 7th – 12th grade level at an independent school. Candidates should have knowledge of a variety of media and be able to teach introductory to AP levels. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience teaching architecture and AP Art History. Sierra Canyon has a strong architectural program, and our students are admitted to the best architectural programs in the country. As there will be a vacancy in the department chair position, Sierra Canyon administration is actively searching for a candidate with leadership experience as a chair of an arts department. Sierra Canyon School is a nonprofit independent, nondenominational, coeducational day school in the northern San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.
