The Social Work Program invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning August 2021. Rank will be negotiable at either the assistant or the associate level based on academic credentials and experience. The CSWE-accredited BSW program (reaffirmed until 2023) seeks a dynamic colleague committed to teaching excellence, student development, and service. The programâs mission is to prepare generalist practitioners with the ability to respect human diversity, use a strengths-based approach to practice, and promote social and economic justice. The program has minors in Child Welfare and Family Studies, Gerontology, and Welfare and Justice for Children and Youth. The program encourages creativity and initiative and provides a strong, supportive environment for growth and development.
â¢Ph.D or DSW in Social work or a closely related field (ABD candidates will be considered but must have completed the doctorate by the time of appointment) â¢Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program â¢At least two years of social work practice experience â¢Demonstrated teaching/training experience at the university level â¢Evidence of ability to engage in scholarship and professional/community service â¢Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
