Part Time Sociology Instructor

Position Category: Faculty General Description: Niagara County Community College has a need for part time instructors to teach introductory courses in Sociology in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. Classes are held on the NCCC's main campus in Sanborn, NY, as well as the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute in Niagara Falls, NY. Applicants must be able to attend in-person meetings, professional development, and other obligations on the Sanborn campus even if teaching online Remuneration for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $797 per lecture hour/$714 per lab hour. Remuneration for those teaching less than 3 credits in a semester: $675 per lecture hour/$600 per lab hour. In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, Niagara County Community College will accept applications on a continuous basis. Typical Work Activities: Essential Functions: Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Sociology or related field. Excellent written communication skills as demonstrated by application materials.
