Responsible for providing administrative support to the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department of the P. C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. The Coordinator will manage the daily operations and activities of the Department as well as support the Graduate Program. This includes assisting with graduate student applications, the selection process, graduate student orientation and advising. Department Coordination *General administrative support for the Department Chair; assist with budgeting and accounts *Coordinate Departmental human resources; coordinate and approve timesheets *Administrative support of faculty searches *Coordinate new faculty onboarding *Assist with Department Teaching and Research Assistant assignments; including tuition remission forms, financial support letters and payroll forms *Arrange prospective PhD student visits *Greet all visitors *Maintain office supplies and Department correspondence *Building maintenance coordination; oversee office equipment contracts *Prepare overall class schedules and google calendars *Submit faculty load information and final exam schedule *Coordinate summer courses; prepare summer faculty pay *Prepare office hours schedule
2. Graduate Coordination *Process graduate applications, review graduate application files, producing documents for review of selection committees and prepare decision letters *Communicate with potential students and applicants *Onboard graduate students; coordinate PhD students space allocations *Coordinate Master's and PhD students orientation sessions *Assign Master's students with advisors *Schedule TOPSS testing, maintain graduate student records, process graduate student forms *Provide date reminders, graduation information and monitor PhD program requirements *Assist with course selections and registrations *Gather and maintain graduate student data for analysis and prepare statistics *Assist with Department specifics for PhD Open House event Grade: 8-37.5 Position Number: S76990 Special Considerations This position is expected to partially work remote while the campus remains in a limited capacity due to COVID-19; in the future it is expected that this position will be staffed on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
