St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD seeks a Humanities Teacher to begin August 16, 2021. The mission of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is to know and inspire each child in an inclusive community dedicated to exceptional teaching, learning, and service.
Position:The job involves teaching three year-long courses, a double period of 6th grade social studies (ancient civilizations) and language arts, as well as two additional classes in 8th grade English. A minimum of three years teaching experience is desired. To complete the full-time component of this position, the person will be an advisor to 8-11 students, and sponsor an extracurricular activity with coaching team sports being a most sought after attribute.
Qualifications: BA in English, History, Education or similar field. Applicants should be skilled in the integration of technology as a tool to advance student learning. General flexibility, good humor, and the ability to work effectively as a team member are also essential.
