Position description The Anthropology Department at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body, and invites applicants whose experience have prepared them to contribute to our pedagogical mission.
Teaching expectations are based on the needs of the department including large, introductory courses in applicants' sub disciplines and possibly upper and lower division courses, related to their own research interests. Appointments will be part-time or full-time, from one quarter up to one year in duration, with the possibility of extension to a subsequent year.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. most preferably with training in Anthropology or a related field. Candidates must have experience in (or potential for) teaching undergraduates and must demonstrate strong or potential contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the context of a large public university.
