Kent Place School is seeking a middle school history teacher who will be responsible for teaching and advising students and contributing positively to the life of the KPS community. The ideal candidate should be an interdisciplinary thinker who has the potential and ability to teach a range of courses and historical thinking skills in courses that emphasize a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to history, ethics and leadership, sociology, comparative politics and studies around women and gender. Teaching duties may also include leading courses in a trimester elective program that centers around civics and government and/or mock trials, along with leading a group of students in our Middle School Advisory program. Responsibilities for this position will include collaborating with colleagues, advising students, partnering and communicating with parent(s)/guardian(s), and participating in community events. Requirements: minimum three years History/Social Studies teaching experience; Master’s degree in academic field or in Teaching preferred.
