Manhattan Country School (MCS) seeks a full-time Admissions Associate to begin July 2021. The Admissions Associate will report to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment and support all aspects of the admissions process.

Manage admissions process including phone, online and in-person inquiries and applications.
Organize and conduct playgroups for children, tours for prospective families, with some evening and Saturday commitments.
Lead assessments for applicants to the 1st-8th grades
Schedule, set-up and staff MCS admissions functions and school wide events
Coordinate and support efforts to welcome and integrate new families into the MCS community
Develop familiarity with early childhood programs around the city
Manage database records in Blackbaud
Prepare monthly statistical reports documenting inquiries and applications received as well as an end-of-year statistical report presented to the Board of Trustees.
Support the Enrollment and Admissions office in establishing an Enrollment Mindset throughout the school
Work with team members and the communications department to create marketing and other outreach materials
Support Director and Assistant Director with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education preferred
3-5 years experience in admissions, teaching or equivalent in early childhood education (ages 4-12)
Interest in or experience with progressive education
Commitment to the school’s vision and mission
Experience working collaboratively in a diverse community
Strong interpersonal skills with adults and children
Strong time-management and problem-solving skills in deadline-oriented environment
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Experience with nursery/early childhood programs in New York City
Spanish language proficiency
