The Department of Economics will have an opening for a part-time (50% duty time) Associate Professional Specialist starting September 2021. Primary criteria are the quality of the applicant's research and interest/experience in Microeconomic Theory and Experimental Economics. The position provides an outstanding opportunity for independent research as well as opportunities for collaboration with Princeton faculty and graduate students. Associate Professional Specialists may participate in the teaching program if mutually agreed and with the approval of the Dean of the Faculty. Associate Professional Specialists are expected to participate actively in the intellectual activities of Princeton University. Applicants must have received a Ph.D. within the last 2 years (or expected by September 2021). Appointment will be for one year. This position would be responsible for: *Assemble and manage data sets*Process and analyze data*Assist in the design, implementation, and management of experiments*Write summaries of research*Perform literature searches and reviews*Communicate with funding organizations*Assist in the implementation of surveys and interviewsRequired Qualifications:*Ph.D. in Economics: field research in microeconomic theory, game theory, experimental economics.*Excellent writing skills*Excellent understanding of statistics and probability theory *Excellent programming skills in Python and/or R. Experience with test-driven development a plus.
