The Management Division at Babson College is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Strategic Management position starting in the 2022-23 academic year.
We are looking for an educator and scholar who:
Holds a Ph.D. or DBA in strategy or closely related fields (international business, organizations, management), and ideally has at least 2-3 years of teaching and research experience as a faculty member at an AACSB or EQUIS accredited institution after graduation.
Has a vibrant research stream that is interesting to both academics and managers, and proven ability to publish peer-reviewed academic journal articles (articles for practitioner audience, peer-reviewed books, teaching cases, and other teaching materials are also valued.)
Is passionate about teaching strategy courses in the undergraduate, MBA, and MS programs, and has a proven track record of teaching excellence.
Is a team-player who is willing to lead and collaborate with faculty from multiple disciplines to design and teach integrated business curricula.
Has non-academic business experience and can quickly establish credibility in the classroom, especially with MBA students and executives.
Is comfortable with technology and teaching in a blended/online environment, though most teaching occurs in-person and on-campus.
Cares about teaching, service, and scholarship that enhance the college’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About the Management Division
The Management Division is a community of collaborative, supportive colleagues who is actively engaged in their academic disciplines and with the practitioner community and are innovative educators. Our division includes eighteen full-time tenure-track faculty members and ten full-time lecturers in two general areas: Organizational Behavior and Strategy. In recent years, faculty members have published in top-tier management journals for academics (e.g., Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal), practitioners (e.g., Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review), and educators (e.g., Academy of Management Learning & Education, Journal of Management Education). In addition, our faculty are actively engaged in their academic communities serving as journal editors (e.g. Academy of Management Learning & Education), editorial review board members (e.g. Strategic Management Journal, Leadership Quarterly), and assuming leadership positions in the Academy (e.g. AOM Careers division, SMS strategic human capital division, POS micro-communities).
