The Langley School, a PS-8 independent school in McLean, Virginia, seeks a middle school social studies teacher beginning in August 2021. Our middle school teachers focus on the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child to create a nurturing and stimulating environment in which to learn. Faculty work collaboratively to create and implement integrated units of study as they strive to meet the needs of every child, every day. In addition to providing instruction in core content areas to students, middle school head teachers serve as advisors to mixed-age advisory groupings.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, three-five years previous teaching experience, strong background in history, excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfort with integrating technology into the curriculum, interest in collaborating with colleagues, and a passion for working with children required.
