Tenure Track Assistant Professor in African American Studies
The African American Studies Program at Colby College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professorship, beginning July 1, 2022. We welcome applications from candidates who conduct research on and write about African Americans and African American experiences in the United States. While disciplinary training is open, preference will be given to applicants who utilize methods and theoretical approaches that include extensive thick descriptions of African American social organization and culture. Areas of specialization include but are not limited to Black geography, critical race studies, history, religion, and social movements.
