This is a part-time adjunct teaching position in the Communication, History, Languages, and Social Sciences Division. The primary teaching assignment is for the Bluegrass Area Campuses and is effective on a rotating basis. The position requires flexibility of scheduling, which may include evenings, weekends, and a variety of campus locations.
These are temporary, part-time, positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed: days, evenings, weekends and/or online. - Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies.
- Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction.
- Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students' attainment and progress.
- Maintains order and discipline.
- Adjunct faculty will provide instruction in Criminal Justice courses.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline of Criminal Justice preferred and at least two years of practitioner experience or field work is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in any of the substantive areas listed with at least five years of work experience in any of these fields is required.
- Must have experience with Blackboard and other instructional technology.
