Position Summary:
New College and the New College LifeTrack program invite applications for a non-tenure earning, three-year renewable instructor position to teach and advise students in the Social Sciences with an emphasis on leadership studies and policy. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses and mentor students in the areas of civic or public leadership, and public and nonprofit management. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and supervising senior projects in New College and New College LifeTrack. A PhD is required. Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience teaching interdisciplinary courses, adult distance students, and non-traditional learners. Depending on expertise and need, the successful candidate may be considered for a cross-appointment to teach in a partner-department within the College of Arts and Sciences.
