Doane Stuart was established in 1975, as an Early Childhood - Grade 12, coeducational college preparatory school, with the merger of two Albany schools—Kenwood Academy, founded in 1852, and St. Agnes School, founded in 1870—that were rooted in the Roman Catholic and Episcopal traditions. POSITION DESCRIPTION

Doane Stuart is currently looking for a full-time teacher for the Middle School for the 2022/2023 school year.  The position includes teaching English for grades 5 and 6, Religion for grades 5 and 6, and Social Studies for grade 5.  Additionally, the person would serve as the fifth-grade homeroom teacher, which includes the professional challenge and opportunity of helping transition our fifth graders from the security of lower school to the independence of middle school.  As part of a close team, you will experience great support from colleagues who welcome new ideas.

• Partner with parents, administration, and staff
• Offer one-to-one assistance if needed

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s Degree required. 
• One or more years of teaching experience is preferred.
• The ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning is necessary.
