Job Description Summary: Loyola University Chicago is seeking an Assistant Professor to Teach courses in normative political theory and the history of political thought, including but not limited to an introductory course to Political Theory, upper-level undergraduate courses on topics such as Contemporary Political Thought, Democratic Theory, and Global Justice, and, on a rotating basis, graduate courses in political theory for masters and PhD students; provide mentoring and advising to individual students; pursue a research agenda in democratic theory, the politics of identity, social egalitarianism, and interpretive methods, with an interest on interdisciplinarity, including participating in conferences, publishing in academic outlets, and being part of diverse
