The Department of Medical Education at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach courses for the Narrative Medicine Master of Science Program. Candidates must have a PhD in a field related to humanities, social sciences, or art. Candidates must demonstrate expertise and experience in teaching narrative medicine or allied disciplines, such as English/Comparative Literature, History or related humanities or social sciences fields. Â The part-time lecturer will teach or team-teach existing courses in the Narrative Medicine curriculum, which includes core courses required for the degree and/or elective courses. A cover letter, current CV, teaching philosophy and sample syllabus of course(s) taught, and three professional letters of reference are required. Expertise in teacher training, syllabus design, and curriculum development is preferred.
