Departmental Overview
Facilities Services works to maintain a campus built environment that is conducive to teaching, learning and research. We strive to continuously improve the campus in partnership with all members of the campus community. Facilities Services is comprised of the following units: Campus Recycling and Refuse Services, Custodial Services, Environmental Services, Grounds Operations, Shops, Quality Assurance & Customer Service, Sustainability and Engineering Services and People's Park.

Responsibilities
- Manages, plans, and administers the operations related to scheduling and implementation of all Custodial projects including logistics for projects in excess of 2,000 per year.
- Directly manages small-scale projects with contractors.
- Coordinates work with clients, contractors and Project Managers for larger projects.
- Facilitates access as needed and tracks progress and completion of work.
- Manages timelines for all department projects, performs studies of resource usage and trends for the Custodial manager including resource limitations and identification of alternative project plan scheduling to comport with resource limitations.
- Assists CCM in the development of information for campus budget.
- Acts as department equipment custodian through the Berkeley Equipment Tracking (BET) system and conducts department inventory controls, including processing and maintaining records of bid proposals.
- Coordinates and carries out department signage, display, and promotional needs.
- Works with Facilities Services to create and manage web and electronic presence and related to communications about Custodial services.
- Acts as department representative for department/campus special projects related to the Custodial group.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of practices and procedures relating to facility maintenance.
- Working knowledge of practices and procedures of safety and emergency preparedness.
- Skills to work under pressure of deadlines in a stressful environment.
- Working organizational skills to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines, to establish goals and work load priorities, and to meet project deadlines within budget and time constraints.
- Written communication skills to prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, policies and procedures, and training documents.
- Active listening, interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve questions, concerns, issues or problems and ensure cooperative and productive working relationships.
- Skills to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience managing project scheduling and all aspects of the position in an electronic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Effective business writing skills.
Education
- Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Salary & Benefits
This position is a non-exempt, bi-weekly paid position. Hourly pay for this role is commensurate with experience within the range of $51,700.00 - $74,700.00. For information on the comprehensive benefits package offered by the University visit:

Other Information
This is a career, 100% full-time, 40-hours per week appointment, eligible for full UC benefits.
