POLICY AND TRAINING ASSOCIATE, J-PAL NORTH AMERICA, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to help reduce poverty by ensuring policy is informed by scientific evidence. Will support J-PAL North America's ongoing partnerships with researchers, policymakers, implementing partners, and philanthropic partners. The primary tasks will involve stakeholder engagement, evaluation support, project and process management, policy writing and outreach, and capacity building.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in economics, public policy or administration, statistics or a related field; two years of relevant experience, which may include experience gained through relevant internships or policy/research work; demonstrated training in statistics and quantitative methods; understanding of impact evaluation; familiarity with economics and statistics; knowledge of social policy, public administration, and program implementation; excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences; strong project management skills; attention to detail; and ability to take ownership of work independently and collaborate effectively with other members of the team. PREFERRED: experience with mentorship programs, pipeline programs, teaching/tutoring high school or college-aged students; fluency in Spanish; and experience with the social policy issues that J-PAL North America aims to address through its work.
