Within UAA, the Community Engagement and Leadership Education (CELE) unit provides students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to contribute to thriving communities. Building authentic community and campus partnerships drive our work. CELE programs are centered around the areas of community-engaged learning, democratic engagement, leadership education, pK-12 student success and place-based initiatives.
CELE has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Manager for Community Partnerships to join their team!
The Program Manager for Community Partnerships leads the day-to-day implementation of our academic community-engaged courses program and has significant responsibility for building community-based organization and campus relationships that support the overall mission of the CELE Center. The range of tasks in this position will include: direct advising with students enrolled in community-engaged courses, outreach to community-based partner organizations, work with faculty/instructors to support community-engaged pedagogy in their classrooms, and management of online systems and web content to enable and support community-based learning at the University of Washington.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Director of Community Engagement, the Program Manager for Community Partnerships will have the following responsibilities:
Community Engaged Course Program Management (40%)
Community Engaged Course Program Development (20%)
System Management & Development (10%)
Evaluation, Assessment and Administration (10%)
Student and Alumni Engagement (10%)
Event Coordination (5%)
Organizational Culture and Committee Participation (5%)
