This full-time, time-limited research position is for a Staff Associate II with an exceptional background and skillset in behavioral sciences (ideally social psychology). The focus of the research is behavioral interventions that aim to reduce economic inequality, with an emphasis on the concept of "positive deviance". The Staff Associate II will be tasked with critical work on an NSF grant that will involve secondary data analyses from financial and healthcare institutions as well as testing new interventions. The Staff Associate II will also have an opportunity to lead early career researchers in designing replications. The Staff Associate II must have excellent quantitative skills (R, Python) and general knowledge of data management in research contexts. The candidate must have also completed policy training at graduate level, ideally as part of a master (or equivalent) program in behavioral, decision, or social sciences. It is strongly preferred that the candidate is fluent in Italian for matters of research coordination. The ideal candidate will be an individual that intends to pursue doctoral research but wishes to be fully immersed in a series of interventions aimed at impacting public policy.
This is a one-year position starting as soon as October 1, 2022, with a possible renewal/extension.

- Must have at least graduate-level degree in applied behavioral sciences from a research-intensive institution.
- Advanced training and experience in statistical analysis and visualization (in R) applied to behavioral science.
- Strong statistical skills that apply directly to behavioral science and public policy.
- Ability to work independently but also within a collaboration. Must be able to write and analyze large datasets without need for constant supervision, but also work on feedback and input from Principal Investigator.
