MONTESSORI ELEMENTARY I (GRADES 1 – 3) TEACHER
The Elementary I Teacher co-teaches one of two Elementary I (grades 1 – 3) classrooms; together these classroom teachers have general responsibility for teaching Montessori Elementary I Levels (6-9 years of age) in Language, Math/Geometry, and Cultural (Science, Geography, and History) academic areas. The following subjects are covered by specialists outside of the classroom: Art, Music, Physical Education, and Spanish. Collaboration with the subject specialists as well as the other classroom teachers is expected. The Elementary I teachers will create a positive learning environment, and communicate well and frequently about classroom dynamics with colleagues and administration. Duties and Responsibilities:
